Xiaomi has announced an improved model of Redmi Pad 2

Xiaomi has unveiled the updated Redmi Pad 2, which is far superior to the original 2022 model thanks to a number of important improvements. This budget tablet is aimed at users looking for a reliable device with modern specs.

Redmi Pad 2: brighter, smoother and larger display

The first Redmi Pad debuted with a 10.61-inch LCD screen with 2K resolution and 90Hz refresh rate, and a maximum brightness of around 400 nits. In the new version, those numbers are much improved, with the tablet getting an 11-inch LCD panel with a resolution of around 2,500 pixels and brightness up to 600 nits. While the refresh rate remains at 90Hz, the image is even brighter and sharper.

Redmi Pad 2 features the new MediaTek Helio G100 Ultra chipset, which outperforms the previous Helio G99. This provides smoother system performance, improved multitasking and comfortable mobile gaming experience. RAM varies from region to region, with the base version offering 4GB + 128GB RAM and the top-end versions offering up to 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage. In the Indian version, a configuration with 3GB RAM and 64GB of storage is available.

Thanks to the tablet’s larger size, it now has a 9,000mAh battery – a 1,000mAh increase over the original. Despite retaining the 18W fast charging speed, the battery life has improved noticeably. In addition, the Redmi Pad 2 runs the new HyperOS 2.0 operating system based on Android 15, which brings a modern interface, new features and improved performance.
