LG has unveiled the UltraFine 40WT95UF, the world’s first 5K2K resolution monitor equipped with Thunderbolt 5 interface. It’s aimed at professionals working with large amounts of data, from finance and IT professionals to those in the creative industries.
The model features a 39.7-inch curved IPS Black panel with 2500R curvature and 5120×2160 pixel resolution. The refresh rate is 120Hz and the color gamut is 99% DCI-P3 space. The monitor is VESA DisplayHDR 600 certified and is factory calibrated for accurate color reproduction out of the box.
One of the key benefits was the use of Thunderbolt 5 with 80Gbps of two-way bandwidth. This allows you to connect multiple 4K displays, transfer large files, and charge devices up to 96W, all through a single cable. Connectors include two Thunderbolt 5, one USB-C (input), four USB-C (output), two USB-A, two HDMI, DisplayPort 2.1 and an RJ45 Ethernet port.

LG’s proprietary OnScreen Control and Dual Controller solutions, as well as a built-in KVM system that allows you to control two computers from a single keyboard and mouse, are available for increased productivity. Picture-in-picture and picture-next-to-picture modes are also available.
The monitor comes with a height-adjustable stand that can tilt and swivel. There’s an ambient light sensor for automatic brightness and color temperature adjustment, two 10W speakers, and AMD FreeSync Premium support for smoother content display.
LG is positioning the UltraFine 40WT95UF as a solution for the corporate and B2B segments, emphasizing high performance and reduced cables in the workplace. Pricing has not yet been disclosed.
