It will be launched in the global market with a 200 MP camera, Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor and MagicOS 9.0 operating system with artificial intelligence, promising significant improvements over the Honor 300 at a competitive price.
The Honor 400, which replaces the Honor 300, is poised to make a splash in the mid-range market. Earlier renders of the device have been removed at the company’s request. The smartphone will be available in black and gold/grey colors and has a sleek frame weighing just 184g (156.5×74.6×7.3mm) with an IP65 protection rating. Its 6.55-inch AMOLED display has a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 5,000 nits. The device is powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor and is based on Android 15 with MagicOS 9.0, which includes artificial intelligence features like Google Gemini, Circle to Search and AI Eraser.
The Honor 400’s camera impresses with a 200 MP main sensor with f/1.9 aperture and a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle lens (with a 112° viewing angle), and a 50 MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture – a significant improvement over the Honor 300’s 50 MP main camera. The 5,300mAh battery supports 66W SuperCharge fast charging, though it’s inferior to the Honor 400 Pro with 100W charging. The predecessor also had a similar capacity battery with 100W fast charging. However, the Honor 300 wasn’t as compact as the upcoming Honor 400 – its display was a full 6.7 inches versus the newcomer’s expected 6.55 inches.
Pricing will be €499 for the 8GB/512GB version (which is the same as the 8GB/256GB version of the Honor 200), with a 256GB variant also expected. The launch in China is scheduled for May 2025 with a global rollout by June. The Honor 400 promises to be a serious competitor to the iQOO Neo 10.
