Honor Magic8 Pro: leaked camera specs

It’s only been a few months since the Honor Magic7 Pro was released, and the first rumors about its successor, the Honor Magic8 Pro, have already surfaced online. The device, judging by leaks from China, could be unveiled as early as this fall.
The rumored Honor Magic8 Pro will be based on the yet-to-be-announced Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chip, which is Qualcomm’s next flagship processor and will likely replace the current Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

The camera system, at first glance, will remain the same as the Magic7 Pro: 50 MP main, 50 MP ultra-wide-angle and 200 MP periscope telephoto lens. However, significant improvements in shooting quality are promised. The main sensor will retain its 1/1.3″ size, but new «smooth transition between frames», «frame supersynthesis» technology will be used, autofocus and dynamic range will improve, and power consumption will be reduced.
It was also reported last month that the base version of the Honor Magic8 will become slightly more compact compared to the Magic7. That’s all the information available so far, but with an expected release in October, we should expect more leaks and official teasers in the coming weeks.
