According to leaks, Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold could upset buyers

It’s not just Samsung that will be in the spotlight in the foldable phone market this year. We’re also expecting new models from other brands, and one of the most anticipated alternatives to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 is likely to be the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold. Renderings have recently surfaced that show what that phone might look like.
According to images provided by Android Headlines in collaboration with @OnLeaks, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold could end up looking very similar to the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold. The design of the device is almost identical, including the size of the lenses in the camera module, indicating that there may be minimal or no changes to the cameras. The phone is expected to feature a 48-megapixel main camera, a 10.5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 10.8-megapixel telephoto camera with a 5x optical zoom.
So the phone is expected to feature a 48-megapixel main camera, a 10.5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 10.8-megapixel telephoto camera with a 5x optical zoom lens.

The dimensions of the new device are also similar: according to the source, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold will measure 155.2 x 150.4 x 5.3 mm when unfolded, while the Pixel 9 Pro Fold will measure 155.2 x 150.2 x 5.1 mm. This means a slight increase in the width and thickness of the new model. However, possible measurement errors could result in the actual dimensions being identical to the previous version.
In addition, Android Headlines suggests that memory and RAM configurations will remain the same as last year – that is, 16GB of RAM and storage options of 256GB or 512GB.
It follows that the Pixel 10 Pro Fold could replicate the design and specs of its predecessor: the same screen sizes – an 8-inch foldable display and a 6.3-inch inset screen.
One of the expected changes is the new Tensor G5 chipset. However, this update may not be enough to attract buyers.
As for pricing, Android Headlines reports a possible “moderate reduction” in price compared to the Pixel 9 Pro Fold for $1799 / £1799 / AU$2699. This makes sense given that the updates seem minor. However, it’s worth bearing in mind that the price of the Pixel 9 Pro Fold could drop significantly by the time the new phone is released.
Hopefully, this leak isn’t definitive or has missing elements. Since the Pixel 10 Pro Fold isn’t expected until August this year, we have yet to learn about its appeal to buyers.
