Xbox Showcase 2025: all the announcements from February’s presentation

Today’s ID@Xbox Showcase presentation featured a variety of different games, several world premieres and even a new Balatro expansion inspired by some of users’ favorite Xbox franchises.

Particularly big on “roguelikes” were Ratatan and the action game Echo Loop.

Revenge of the Savage Planet will be out May 8.

Raccoon Logic Studios’ new game, Revenge of the Savage Planet — is a colorful, out-of-the-box game that satirically reimagines the standard survival-builder genre. It will be released on Game Pass on May 8, and will also be available on PC, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

Echo Weaver — is part puzzle game, part Metroidvania. In the game, you control a character stuck in a time loop, and only by “perfecting your run” can you find your way out. Even a cursory glance at the gameplay promises a challenging game, and it’s coming to Game Pass on release day. No release date has been named yet, though.

Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault

Although there’s nothing new in the announcement of Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault, today’s trailer shows off more gameplay and enemy types, as well as the graphical style that distinguishes the sequel from its predecessor. The game pays homage to The Legend of Zelda in many ways, but with its own atmosphere. The game will be available on Game Pass on release day, sometime in 2025.

Another game coming out this summer, Herdling offers you the role of a character trying to save mysterious magical creatures in a ruined world. Outbound — is an open world exploration game where you get behind the wheel of an RV. You’ll be able to explore the world, traveling from place to place and setting up your camp. Hotel Barcelona

It’s been about a year since Hotel Barcelona was announced, and at the ID@Xbox presentation, we finally got our first look at gameplay. Set in a colorful, absurdist style rife with gratuitous violence, Hotel Barcelona features a protagonist trying to kill other serial killers in a hotel and escape. The game will be released in 2025 on PC, Xbox and PlayStation 5.

Tanuki: Pon’s Summer

The concept of mail delivery is as old as the game itself, but Tanuki: Pon’s Summer brings its own cute twist to the genre: you get to play as Tanuki — a Japanese raccoon dog — on a BMX bike. RockBeasts captures the atmosphere of early MTV broadcasts by putting the player in the shoes of a rock band manager. The narrative-oriented game was one of the few world premieres at today’s event and will arrive on Xbox later this year.
