OpenAI has made ChatGPT search available to all users

In October last year, the OpenAI team behind ChatGPT unveiled its own search engine inside the chatbot. Initially it was only available to paid users, but in December the feature became open to everyone. Now the search is completely free of restrictions.
Search without registration and authorization
.
OpenAI has removed all barriers to using search on ChatGPT – now users don’t need to create an account or log in. This allows users to search for information in the same way as they would through Google.

Competing with market giants
This strategy seems logical: without requiring registration, OpenAI is trying to promote ChatGPT as a real competitor to traditional search engines like Google Search, which has long held about 80% of the global market.
What sets ChatGPT Search apart is the lack of ads that often fill Google’s pages. However, Google also has a competing solution, Gemini, which is also ad-free. What’s more, Google is rumored to be planning to turn its search into a full-fledged AI assistant by 2025, which would create serious competition for OpenAI.
And that’s why it’s so important to make sure that Google’s search solution is not just ad-free, but also ad-free.
How does ChatGPT search work?
.
The principle of use is simple: you type in a query and get a response. Instead of a list of links, the AI algorithm provides a generated summary with the sources.
.
The user can click on the sources to verify the information or dive into the details, which is crucial given that AI answers aren’t always perfect. The challenges Google faced during the launch phase of its AI-responses serve as a good example. Like other platforms such as Bing and Google, ChatGPT continues to improve in terms of accuracy and reliability of responses.
And it’s a good example.
