Stories to be added to Telegram next month
By ForGeeks Telegram has somehow managed to resist the appeal of adding Stories to its app until now. But now it isn’t anymore. Founder Pavel Durov announced that Stories will be available on the platform beginning next month.
Durov says Telegram didn’t just copy the feature from its competitors, but decided to do it «Telegram-style». This means you will choose who can see each of your stories «with high precision» (all, only contacts with exceptions, a few favorite contacts or a list of close friends). This feature will be in the expandable section at the top of your chat list, so you can easily hide stories posted by any contact.
Histories will support captions as well as photos and videos taken with the front and back cameras at the same time. Stories will expire after 6, 12, 24 or 48 hours — your choice. Or you can set them up so that some are permanently displayed on your profile, with individual privacy settings for each. And soon you’ll be able to repost your channel posts to Stories.
