Honor has unveiled MagicOS 8.0 based on Android 14

Honor has unveiled a new version of MagicOS 8.0 using neural network-based algorithms to anticipate user actions. It is worth noting that MagicOS 8.0 supports the MagicLM large language model with 7 billion parameters, which will debut in Honor Magic 6 smartphones. MagicLM is only available on devices with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 microprocessor.

MagicOS 8.0 will be available on Honor Magic 6 smartphones.

The MagicLM algorithm can be used to generate videos based on text descriptions and as a personal assistant. Speaking of which, MagicOS 8.0 offers a feature to switch between apps by long-pressing on specific areas of the screen. And the developers have added a Spirit Capsule feature reminiscent of the iPhone’s Dynamic Island.

More specifically, MagicOS 8.0 will be available on Honor Magic 5 Ultimate Edition, Magic 5 Pro, Magic 5, Magic 4 Ultimate Edition, Magic 4 Pro, and Magic 4 devices in January this year.
