CES 2024: ASUS AirVision M1 – Wearable Display for Multitasking

ASUS unveiled a pretty long list of products at CES 2024 in Las Vegas, including its high-tech AirVision M1 goggles. It’s not exactly a competitor to the upcoming Apple Vision Pro and mixed-reality headgear that other companies unveiled at the event. The AirVision M1 — is a wearable display capable of generating multiple virtual screens so users can perform multiple tasks simultaneously. It features an FHD (1,920 x 1,080) Micro OLED display with a 57-degree vertical viewing angle.

The device has three degrees of freedom and users can attach multiple screens in the aspect ratio they want, be it 16:9, 21:9 or 32:9. This is done via an intuitive touchpad located on the left temple of the glasses, where you can also adjust brightness and activate 3D mode. The device also features a built-in microphone and noise-canceling speakers.

While it may seem like the AirVision M1 might make a good companion for those who need to take their work with them on trips, it’s not a standalone wearable device: It needs to be connected to a computer or phone via USB-C to work. ASUS hasn’t yet disclosed how much the device costs or when it will be available, but its specs and features indicate that it won’t cost more than Apple’s Vision Pro.
