The updated iOS 26 brings a slew of innovations aimed at personalization and intelligent interaction:
- The lock screen got 3D effects, an adaptive clock, and the ability to customize the design to match music or images.

watchOS 26: Workout Buddy and Voice Motivation
WatchOS 26 introduces Workout Buddy, a voice assistant that analyzes your workout in real time and tells you when to speed up or pause. It recognizes key moments in your workout and motivates with personalized voices.

tvOS 26: new profiles, karaoke, and updates for Apple TV+
tvOS 26 got a redesigned Liquid Glass-style design, support for multiple user profiles, and a new karaoke mode. Now you can use your iPhone as a microphone, and friends can sing along or suggest tracks.
The Apple TV+ app added new movie covers and a selection of upcoming releases, including seasons three of Foundation and Invasion, season five of Slow Horses, season four of The Morning Show and other premieres.

macOS 26, called Tahoe, gets a completely redesigned interface including a transparent menu bar, updated widgets and support for the new Metal 4 engine for improved graphics and gaming.
Spotlight got the biggest update in history: it’s no longer just a search, but a smart assistant. It suggests commands, documents, and actions based on user behavior. App Intents API support, shortcuts, and clipboard history make it a complete productivity tool.
There’s a new Games app, as well as improvements to Continuity, including Live Activities for Mac.
visionOS 26: spatial scenes, 3D photos and accessory support

- Safari received a special spatial-regime.
- Safari now supports PS VR2 controllers and Logitech Muse stylus.
- Characters (Personas) have become more realistic and natural in display.
Features for enterprise use have also been added: secure content access, shared device mode, and new presentation and training tools.
iPadOS 26: Multitasking, Call Recording and Powerful Files
- Added full windows with the ability to resize and move apps around. Exposé mode, permanent menu on top and sharp cursor are supported.
- The Files app now supports list view, customizing folders, selecting default applications, and placing folders in the Dock.
- A separate Preview app for viewing, editing, and annotating PDF files is now available in iPadOS, similar to the Mac version.
- The new Local Capture feature lets you record video and audio directly from the iPad, even during calls. Users can use AirPods as a microphone and select audio sources on an app-by-app basis.
- Support for background tasks with the new API allows apps to run complex processes without stopping work.
Updates
Immediately after the presentation, developers were given access to beta versions of the new operating systems. Public beta releases will come out in July, with final versions for all users expected in the fall of 2025.
