Volvo has launched the XC70 hybrid SUV

Swedish automaker Volvo has unveiled official images of its XC70 plug-in hybrid in four body color options: Crystal White, Black Agate, Grey Mist, and Blue Denim.

Each of the suggested colors is a reflection of the Scandinavian aesthetic. For example, “Crystal White” evokes the glaciers of the Arctic, “Black Agate” symbolizes the depths of night, “Grey Mist” reproduces the texture of Swedish dunes, and “Blue Denim” references the midnight sky.

The SUV is based on the SMA platform, and its powertrain consists of a 1.5-liter internal combustion engine and an electric motor that develops 120 kW of power. The overall dimensions of the car are 4815 mm in length, 1890 mm in width and 1650 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2895 mm. The exterior is characterized by “Thor’s Hammer” style LED headlights, a large black radiator grille, hidden door handles, sloping rear glass and C-shaped taillights integrated into the body.

The vehicle uses a hybrid system that allows for both lithium-iron-phosphate and lithium-ion battery packs. However, the exact battery capacity specifications have not yet been disclosed.
