Samsung may raise prices of Galaxy S26 series due to rising component costs

Buyers of Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S26 series smartphones may have to pay more. According to a new report, the company is planning to raise the prices of its flagship devices due to an increase in the cost of key components.

The price hike is said to affect the most important elements of the smartphones — processors (SoC) and RAM (RAM). The price increase is due to the increased demand for these components in the global market.

The increase in prices is also due to the increased demand for these components in the global market.

Samsung isn’t the only one experiencing this situation, however. Other manufacturers including Apple, Xiaomi, Oppo and vivo have also increased the price of their top-end models. In particular, vivo’s X300 series is now more expensive than the previous generation.

The price hike may not be global, however. Sources say it’s likely to be in the South Korean domestic market, where the price of components has risen the most.

The Galaxy S26 series is expected to be officially unveiled in late February, with sales starting in March.
