Realme today detailed the 320W charging technology it has been teasering for the past few days. It’s called 320W SuperSonic Charge and it’s the world’s fastest smartphone charging technology.

Realme is now detailing the 320W SuperSonic Charge.

Realme said that this technology fully charges a smartphone battery in 4 minutes and 30 seconds. It fills the cell up to 26% in one minute and 50% in less than two minutes.

Realme said it is the fastest charging technology in the world.

Realme’s 320W charging technology is slightly faster than Redmi’s 300W technology, which fully charged the 4,000mAh battery in 4 minutes and 55 seconds. However, Realme hasn’t disclosed the cell size it tested its technology with, so we’ll have to wait to find out which one is actually faster.

Realme revealed that the 320W power adapter is called the “Pocket Cannon” and has a power density of 3.3W/cm3, while being similar in size to Realme’s 240W charger.

Realme also said the Power Cannon supports major charging protocols including UFCS (up to 320W), PD and SuperVOOC. It also has two USB-C ports for simultaneous charging – 150W for Realme smartphones and 65W for compatible laptops.

Realme also said the Power Cannon has a USB-C port for simultaneous charging.

It’s not yet clear if any smartphones equipped with this technology will come to market.
