Rumors about the Nvidia RTX 5080 Super have surfaced

New rumors have surfaced about Nvidia’s RTX 5080 Super GPU. According to information from VideoCardz and developer Kopite7kimi, the new graphics card uses the same GB203 chip as the RTX 5080, while keeping the number of cores the same. The main update is the increase in video memory from 16GB to 24GB and the use of faster modules (32Gbps vs. 30Gbps). The estimated TDP is around 400W.
These changes promise about 10-15% performance gains due to higher clock speeds. The increase in VRAM is especially relevant for 4K gaming and demanding applications. With AMD’s growing competition and new RDNA 4 models, Nvidia is looking to make the update as competitive as possible.

The RTX 5070 Super with 18GB of VRAM was previously rumored, but was not mentioned in the new data. The expected release date is late 2025, but there’s a possibility of availability as early as this year.
All in all, the RTX 5080 Super promises to be an important upgrade for users looking for a margin of safety for future gaming and high-resolution tasks.
