The Xiaomi 15 Ultra update has changed the camera beyond recognition

Xiaomi has released HyperOS update version 2.0.215.0.VOACNXM for the Xiaomi 15 Ultra flagship in China. The update fixes a number of bugs and significantly improves camera performance, including night mode and 4K/60fps video capture. The package size is 918 MB.

Filter bug fixes and night shooting improvements

One of the major new features is a fix for a bug with the display of filters in the built-in viewfinder. Previously, under certain conditions, filters would disappear from the screen, causing difficulties for photographers and video bloggers. This problem was discovered during the closed beta test of build 2.0.212.0 and is now officially fixed.

Night shots have also been significantly improved. An updated low-light shooting algorithm produces sharper, more detailed photos. It also eliminates 4K/60fps video recording glitches, ensuring stability and improving image clarity.

Performance improvements and new system features

Other changes include optimizing the performance of apps in landscape orientation. The updated controls allow you to seamlessly switch between horizontal interfaces when playing games, watching videos, or performing work tasks. Apps open and close faster in landscape mode.

The update also introduces security patches from August 2025 that close the latest vulnerabilities. It also fixes synchronization issues with the Mi Body Composition Scale smart scale, strengthening the connectivity of Xiaomi’s ecosystem.

Some HyperOS bugs remain relevant

Despite the massive update, there are still unresolved issues with HyperOS. Specifically, users are reporting crashes when opening photo albums on the Xiaomi 14 Pro, notification bar bugs, and QQ floating window crashes. There are also delays in loading the desktop wallpaper and fingerprint animation. These bugs are under testing in beta versions and are expected to be fixed in the next updates.
