Features of 3D fingerprint scanner

According to the patent, the sensor not only reads fingerprints, but also recognizes various gestures. One of the sketches shows that the entire display is capable of reading the user’s fingerprint. What’s more, the sensor supports 360-degree circular scanning of the finger, which opens up the possibility of customizing actions.

Interactive Gestures and Function Assignment

This technology will allow users to assign different functions to each finger. For example, the thumb can be registered as the back button and the index finger can be used for calling. You can also control screen brightness or sound volume by rotating your finger clockwise or counterclockwise on the sensor.
