The Galaxy S26 will not replicate the orange color of the iPhone 17 Pro
Samsung will forgo the bold orange hue that Apple introduced with the iPhone 17 Pro and instead opt for more subtle and elegant coloring for the Galaxy S26. Contrary to analysts’ expectations that Samsung would follow Apple’s strategy, the new leaks point to a different approach to the color scheme of its flagship.
Samsung’s new leaks indicate a different approach to the color design of its flagship.
- Galaxy S26 Ultra will get black, white, blue and purple colors
- Purple will be the main hero color for marketing
- The base version of the S26 will not get accelerated charging above 25W
Galaxy S26 Ultra colors
According to Ice Universe, the Galaxy S26 Ultra SIM shows four primary colors: black, white, blue, and purple. If Samsung sticks to its usual approach, these hues will match the finish of the device’s body. The purple option, while not as bright looking as Cosmic Orange on the iPhone 17 Pro, should look elegant and premium on the S26 Ultra. It’s the color that will be the hero shade this year, and Samsung will be using it heavily in marketing materials.
For comparison, the current generation Galaxy S25 Ultra is available in Silver Blue, White Silver, Grey, Black, Jasper Green, Rose Gold and Black Onyx colors. The last three are special colors available exclusively through the company’s online store.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra should also get additional colors exclusive to Samsung.com. The company has traditionally limited the number of bright colors available, releasing them exclusively through its own online store. The Galaxy S23 Ultra’s bright red hue is a prime example of this strategy, and the Galaxy S26 Ultra may get similar treatment.
Charging for the base version will remain at 25W
Samsung plans to boost the wired and wireless charging speeds on the Galaxy S26 Ultra to 60W and 25W respectively. However, the base version of the Galaxy S26 won’t get the same improvements. Previous leaks had suggested that the Galaxy S26 could get a 45W fast charger, but fresh data from a reliable source cools those expectations. Wired charging on the base model will be limited to 25W, the same rating as the previous few generations of Samsung’s flagship devices.
The Galaxy S26 will get 25W fast charging, which is the same as the previous few generations of Samsung’s flagship devices.
On the other hand, the base Galaxy S26 will get a larger 4,300mAh battery instead of 4,000mAh. This should noticeably improve the overall battery life of the device.
