Acer has unveiled the ultra-light Swift 16 Air laptop

Acer has revealed its new Swift 16 Air laptop. Its main advantage is its weight: just over 900 grams, which is lighter than even the 13-inch MacBook Air.
The model is available in two versions: one with an IPS display and one with an AMOLED panel. The latter is a little heavier at around 1.1 kilograms.

The laptop is powered by AMD Ryzen AI 300 Series processors up to AI 7 350 and AMD Radeon graphics. The claimed battery life is up to 13 hours. The device also gets a webcam with privacy curtain, two USB-C ports, two USB-A ports, HDMI, as well as stereo speakers and two microphones.

Swift 16 Air will be available in November in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Cost in Europe starts at around $1,160.

In addition, Acer unveiled the TravelMate X4 AI, a lightweight Copilot+ PC notebook powered by Intel Core Ultra. It weighs less than 1.3 pounds, meets the military ruggedness standard MIL-STD810H, and will go on sale in September with prices starting at $1,400.
