Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro: leaked specs

Xiaomi has confirmed that the Pad 7 series of tablets will be unveiled alongside the launch of the flagship Xiaomi 15 smartphones. The tablet lineup is likely to include standard and Pro versions. Today, a well-known Digital Chat Station insider revealed some specs of the Pad 7 Pro model.
The Pad 7 Pro model will be launched at the same time as the flagship smartphone.
According to the leak, the Pad 7 Pro will feature a large 11.16-inch display with a 3.2K resolution (roughly 2,880 x 1,800 pixels). While the display will remain LCD rather than AMOLED as previously speculated, it will support full DC Dimming, a technology that reduces screen flicker and reduces eye strain.

The tablet will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, which while not a top-of-the-line chip, is still powerful enough to handle demanding tasks. The device will also support 67W fast charging.
A 50-megapixel main camera is expected on the back of the tablet, possibly with an additional depth sensor. While tablet cameras aren’t usually prominent, a good main sensor could come in handy for scanning documents or taking quick pictures.

The Pad 7 Pro will feature an all-metal body and will be pre-installed with Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2 based on Android 15. The leak also mentions that the tablet will integrate AI and support «deep connectivity» which is a trend for devices in 2024.

It was previously reported that the Pad 7 will feature a 10,000mAh battery and will likely have a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security. WiFi 7 support is expected and there will be a USB Type-C 3.2 port for fast data transfer. There’s no word yet on whether the tablet will support 5G or cellular connectivity.
