After launching the X200 Ultra and X200s smartphones, vivo has unveiled new products among tablets and wearable devices. The vivo Pad5 Pro and vivo Pad SE tablets are in the spotlight, as well as the new vivo Watch 5 smartwatch.

vivo Pad5 Pro is a powerful flagship with Dimensity 9400

vivo Pad5 Pro is the first tablet based on the Dimensity 9400 chipset. It features a 13-inch LCD display with 1200 nits of brightness, 3096 × 2064 pixel resolution, 144Hz refresh rate and 3:2 aspect ratio – suitable for both entertainment and document work. Support for 10-bit color and HDR10 makes it attractive for multimedia tasks.

Inside is the powerful Dimensity 9400 chipset, delivering up to 2.9 million points in AnTuTu. Depending on the game, the tablet is capable of 3.1K or 2.4K resolution at 120 frames per second (using super-resolution technology). A “three-dimensional” cooling system is used for cooling.

Configurations with 8/12/16GB of RAM and 128/256/512GB of ROM are available. Note: the 128GB version uses UFS 3.1, while the others use UFS 4.1.

The body is 6.07mm thick and weighs 635g. There’s also a lighter Feather Light version at 5.96mm and 578g. Both versions have a 12,050mAh battery with 66W charging support, providing up to 16 hours of video streaming.

The stylus is supported, as well as the Smart Touch Keyboard 5 Pro (optional). The tablet uses Origin OS 5 HD, with office-level features. There’s support for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, and USB-C (USB 3.2 Gen 1). Cameras are 13 MP on the back (with 4K video) and 8 MP on the front.

Colors: Cold Star Gray, Spring Tide Blue, Cloud Pink, and Feather Light White (lightweight models only)

China sales start on April 25. The base 8/128GB model will cost CNY 3,000 (~$410 / €360 / ₹35,000).

vivo Pad SE is an affordable tablet for studying

The Pad SE is aimed at students and has built-in features for learning, including parental controls. It features a 12.3-inch LCD display with 2464 × 1600 pixel resolution, 90Hz refresh rate and up to 600 nits of brightness. The color gamut is 100% sRGB.

  • Soft Light (6.87 mm, 569 g) – with a matte screen coating that reduces glare and improves readability.

The device is built on an unnamed chip from Qualcomm (presumably Snapdragon 4 Gen 2) and packs 6/8GB of RAM and 128/256GB of ROM (UFS 3.1).

vivo Pad SE

The 8500 mAh battery, with a slow 15W charge, is rated for 8 hours of video streaming. 4 speakers are available.

The cameras are 5 MP each on the front and back. There’s an interesting accessory – a mirror that turns the front camera into a scanner. Features: OCR, built-in dictionary, annotating text and creating quizzes.

The base 6/128GB version is CNY 1,000 (~$137 / €120 / ₹11,700). The Soft Light versions are 200 yuan more expensive.

vivo Watch 5 – up to 22 days of battery life

The watch has a longer battery life of up to 22 days (vs. 16 for the previous model). It features a 1.43-inch OLED display (466×466 pixels, 60Hz, up to 1500 nits brightness).
