Apple iPad Pro with M5 chip tested for performance in popular games

Ahead of the launch of the iPad Pro 2025, reviews have been published online containing the results of the first tests of the M5 chip. Apple claims that its graphics power outperforms the M4 by 45%. A blogger from YouTube channel Geek Culture put that to the test by running a number of popular gaming projects on the tablet.

Four games were selected for the study: Genshin Impact, Zenless Zone Zero, Wuthering Waves and Delta Force. Before starting the testing, the blogger recorded the initial temperature of the tablet’s case – about 26 degrees.

The first game to be launched was Genshin Impact with maximum graphics settings. It’s worth noting that the developers haven’t added optimization for the new model yet, so the 120fps mode and MetalFx technology were not supported during the test. No freezes were detected during the game, and the case temperature rose to 31 degrees.

The more graphically demanding Zenless Zone Zero heated up the case to 37 degrees. Navigating the open world and battles were smooth, but there were some slight lags during loading of some interface elements. Wuthering Waves also demonstrated excellent performance, but the tablet heated up to 39 degrees. The Delta Force shooter also performed similarly, heating up to 31 degrees.

The video concludes by expressing how excited he is about the performance of the new iPad Pro with the M5 processor and recommends it to all mobile gamers.
