May launch of Starship’s newest rocket in doubt

Reports have surfaced that Starship experienced engine problems during its static burn, causing it to end prematurely.
SpaceX conducted a static burn of the six Raptor engines of the Starship S35 prototype, which is preparing for its ninth test flight. In the final seconds, a shard, presumably part of the engine, was observed and the color of the flame changed from orange to blue. The burn was immediately halted.

This anomaly could be due to engine damage, a fuel leak, or a turbopump malfunction. SpaceX has yet to make an official statement on the matter.
The Starship is scheduled to fly in mid-May, but the timeline could change if an engine replacement or major tweaks are needed.
