Global update in “VK Messenger”
By ForGeeks VK Messenger now has an option to start a dialog by phone number. You don’t have to add a person to your VKontakte friends or phonebook contacts. The developers have improved anti-spam algorithms and introduced a number of new features in chats. The updates are available in the VKontakte and VK Messenger apps.
Users can connect with new acquaintances – neighbors, classmates, colleagues – by phone number. VKontakte’s proprietary neural network uses machine learning algorithms to identify suspicious accounts and restrict them from using the new feature, keeping users safe from spam.
The new feature will allow users to contact their neighbors, classmates, and coworkers.
In addition, VK Messenger has new customization options: dynamic chat backgrounds that adapt to the app’s theme – dark or light. The function works in Android apps and will soon appear on iOS. New unique stencils for video messages are available: sun, flower, cookie, hexahedron.
Collaborators have quick access to view each other’s published stories: they’re displayed in the chat list by tapping on a profile photo. You can control this feature in the settings.
