The new smartphones from OnePlus – OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra and Ace 5 Racing Edition – are expected to be announced in China this month. These models will attract attention due to their unique designs and advanced specifications.
Main Features and Design
Preliminary images that surfaced on a Chinese social network show that both devices will get a completely different camera module design compared to the Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro models that were unveiled in December 2024.
- Camera module design: While the current models feature a circular module, new images show that the Ace 5 Ultra and Racing Edition will have it in the form of a vertical island with dual cameras.
- Camera layout: In the images, the device on the left is most likely the OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra, which has the dual camera positioned vertically inside the module with LED flash. While the Racing Edition appears to be on the right – it also has a dual vertical camera, but with the flash located on the right.

Technical Specifications
According to rumors and leaks, these models will feature the following key features:
- OnePlus Ace 5 Racing Edition:
- Screen: 6.77-inch LTPS OLED with about 1.5K (1440p) resolution and 144Hz refresh rate.
- Battery: about 7000 mAh capacity.
- Charging: support fast charging up to 80W.
- OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra:
- Screen: slightly larger at 6.83 inches diagonal, also LTPS OLED with about 1.5K resolution and 144Hz refresh rate.
- Battery: similarly – with a capacity of about 7000 mAh.
- Charging: faster – up to 100 watts.
The two models are expected to feature a 50 Megapixel main camera, which is in line with current standards for flagship devices.
According to recent reports, the OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra may remain exclusive to the Chinese market. For the international market, there’s a possibility of a renamed or improved version – such as the OnePlus Nord 5, which could be based on the Racing Edition or Ace 5.
