Xiaomi 14 gets a Leica telephoto lens
By ForGeeks Lu Weibing, president of Xiaomi Group, published a post on his official page about the Leica series telephoto lens.
There are two models of the Xiaomi 14, both getting a 75mm Leica telephoto lens with floating focus, and the standard version of the Xiaomi 14 is highlighted by the ability to shoot close-ups. According to the developers, the solution is based on the focusing technology used in DSLR cameras. The focus can vary from 10cm to infinity.
Floating focus can be used to shoot close-ups.
It’s worth noting that the Xiaomi 14 will be the first smartphone with a Leica Optical Summilux lens. The device will also feature a new sensor «Light and Shadow Hunter» with reduced power consumption.
