Vivo has officially unveiled the Vivo Y300 smartphone, just a month after announcing a more powerful version of the Y300 Plus. As the successor to the Y200, the new smartphone brings a few improvements but no major changes. Let’s take a look at the details.

Vivo Y300 is powered by an entry-level Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor. The smartphone packs 8GB of RAM with the ability to virtually expand by another 8GB thanks to Vivo’s Extended RAM 3.0 feature. The 128GB and 256GB versions are available for storage.

A 5,000mAh battery with 80W FlashCharge technology is responsible for battery life. Vivo claims that this battery will keep it in good condition for four years.

Vivo Y300 has a stylish metal frame with a glossy finish. The back panel is available in three colors: Titanium Silver, Emerald Green and Phantom Purple. In Titanium Silver, the Titanium Silver color gives off a “distant starlight” effect at certain angles, giving the smartphone a unique look.

The 6.67-inch AMOLED display supports 120Hz refresh rate for smooth visuals and high responsiveness. The screen is also SGS certified for low blue light emission, which helps reduce eye strain during prolonged use.

The smartphone is IP64 rated for dust and moisture resistance. It also features Wet-Touch technology, which keeps the screen running smoothly even in light humidity. For security, the Vivo Y300 features a fingerprint scanner embedded in the display, as well as face unlocking.

Prices and Availability

Vivo Y300 5G will be priced from ₹21,999 (about $265) for the model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, while the 256GB version will cost ₹23,999 (about $288). Pre-orders are open from November 21 and will continue till November 25. Sales will start on November 26 via Vivo’s online store, Flipkart, Amazon and partner retail outlets.
