Vivo Y18t with 50-megapixel camera and 90Hz screen has been unveiled

The Y18 series from vivo has been expanded with a new model, the Y18t, which is the fourth smartphone in the lineup after the Y18, Y18i and Y18e models. The new vivo Y18t is powered by a Unisoc T612 processor, runs Funtouch OS 14 on Android 14 and has 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 1TB via microSD card.

Bright display and improved camera

vivo Y18t gets a 6.56-inch HD+ LCD display with 90Hz refresh rate and 840 nits brightness, providing clear and bright images even in bright light. The pixel density of the display is 269 ppi. There is an 8MP front-facing camera placed in a notch on the screen. There’s no fingerprint scanner under the display, but it’s integrated into the power button.

At the back, there’s a 50MP main camera and a 0.08MP secondary module. This package allows you to take sharper photos, which makes the Y18t stand out from previous models in the lineup.

Battery and fast charging

The smartphone features a 5,000mAh battery that charges via USB-C with a maximum power of 15W. According to vivo’s claim, the included charger fully charges the battery in 145 minutes, which is roughly two and a half hours.

Differences and unique features

The Y18t can be called an improved version of the Y18i, but with higher camera resolution, increased screen brightness and Bluetooth 5.2 instead of 5.0. The Y18t also features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and unlike the Y03t, it offers a brighter screen and improved cameras.

Price and Availability

vivo Y18t is IP54-rated and is available in Space Black and Gem Green colors. The smartphone is available in India through vivo’s official website at a price of INR9,499 (roughly $115 or €105), while the Y18i was introduced at INR7,999 (roughly $95 or €90).
