Huawei to unveil new smartwatch on February 26

Huawei is gearing up for its first product launch event of the year on February 26. The presentation will take place in Madrid, Spain. Although the company hasn’t confirmed the exact devices on deck, all signs point to the debut of a new smartwatch.

The event’s tagline, “The race starts here,” along with the hashtag #NowIsYourRun, strongly hint at a sports-focused product with a particular emphasis on running. This likely signals a fresh entry in the Watch GT Runner lineup, which hasn’t seen an update since the original Watch GT Runner launched in 2021.

Adding fuel to the speculation, Huawei announced a strategic partnership last month with the dsm-firmenich Running Team and legendary marathoner Eliud Kipchoge. This collaboration further sharpens expectations for a running-centric smartwatch that caters specifically to athletes and runners.
