Acemagic unveils compact Matrix Mini M5 mini PC with Intel 14th-gen Core HX processors
Acemagic has announced the Matrix Mini M5, a compact mini PC powered by Intel’s 14th-generation Core HX series processors. The device is now listed on the company’s official website, where pre-orders are open.
The Matrix Mini M5 comes in two configurations: one with a Core i9-14900HX and another with a Core i7-14650HX. Both models feature 32GB of DDR4 RAM and a 1TB solid-state drive. Pricing starts at $639 for the Core i7 version, while the Core i9 variant costs $749. Shipments of the first units will begin on February 10.

The mini PC sports a compact chassis measuring just 128 × 128 × 41.3 mm. It relies on a cooling system with two fans and dual heat pipes, ensuring sustained high performance under heavy workloads.
The Core i9-14900HX model boasts 24 cores and 32 threads, with a max turbo frequency of up to 5.8 GHz. The Core i7-14650HX features 16 cores and 24 threads, reaching a turbo speed of 5.2 GHz. Both versions use integrated Intel UHD Graphics.
Memory support includes two DDR4 SODIMM slots, accommodating up to 64GB of RAM running at 3200 MHz. For storage, there are two M.2 2280 slots: one with PCIe 4.0 x4, and another supporting PCIe 3.0 x4 or SATA. Total storage capacity can reach 4TB.

Connectivity options cover Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, and a gigabit Ethernet port. On the front panel, there’s a USB-C port with 10 Gbps throughput, two USB-A ports also at 10 Gbps, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The rear panel includes four USB-A ports at 5 Gbps, HDMI, DisplayPort, and the power input.
The system supports simultaneous connection of up to three 4K displays via HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.4, and USB-C with DP Alt Mode support.
The Matrix Mini M5 ships with Windows 11 Pro pre-installed, and also officially supports Ubuntu and other Linux distributions. It comes with VESA mounting compatibility and carries a two-year warranty.
