Ulefone introduces the first Dimensity 9300+ ruggedized phone – Armor 28 Ultra

Ulefone turns 10 this year, and to celebrate, the company is releasing its first rugged phone with the flagship Dimensity 9300+ chipset. It’s called the Armor 28 Ultra and is IP68 and IP69K certified. It can also withstand extreme temperatures from -30 °C to 55 °C. And lastly, the phone has been repeatedly tested to withstand drops from a height of 2 meters.
Besides the chipset, the other outstanding feature is the 1-inch sensor in the main camera — Sony IMX989 (50 MP, f/1.9). Daytime photos can also be taken with the 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera (Samsung JN1) or the 50-megapixel selfie camera (again, JN1).

Since this is an Ulefone device, it naturally also has a night vision camera – a 64MP module with an 80° field of view (based on the OV64B1B sensor). And, as you can understand from the name, the smartphone also has a thermal imaging camera. The thermal imaging is captured using the ThermoVue Pro app and provides 256 x 192 pixel video.

Following the usual features, the Ulefone Armor 28 Ultra features a 6.67-inch OLED display, an FHD+ panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 2200 nits. Incidentally, this is the first Ulefone ruggedized phone with an OLED display. The amount of RAM is 16 GB, and flash memory is available 512 GB. A 10600 mAh battery with 120W fast charging is responsible for the device’s autonomy.
