Leaks about the Vivo X300 Ultra have revealed display options and design changes: the smartphone will get a large flat screen with LTPO and will lack the separate camera button that the previous model had.

Information about the Vivo X300 Ultra continues to emerge as the announcement gets closer. In a new leak, Digital Chat Station’s source has revealed details of the display, body design and key hardware features of the upcoming flagship. We’re talking about an engineering sample of the device, which is already close to the final configuration.

According to the leak, the Vivo X300 Ultra features a 6.82-inch flat-panel display manufactured by BOE with a resolution of around 2K. The panel gets narrow bezels on all four sides and is expected to be built on LTPO technology, which will provide adaptive refresh rates. The smartphone will retain a metal frame with sharp edges, evolving the previous generation’s design, but with sleeker lines.

Dropping the camera button and body design

One notable change is the elimination of the separate camera button, known as the Action button, that was used on the Vivo X200 Ultra. According to the source, it was abandoned for practical reasons: the button was taking up the internal space of the case, and not providing any tangible benefit in everyday use.

On the back, the smartphone will retain a large, round main camera module. Its protrusion will reportedly be comparable to the one used in the Vivo X200 Ultra, indicating a continued focus on advanced camera modules.

Cameras and hardware platform

Previous leaks indicate that the Vivo X300 Ultra will get an advanced camera with dual 200-megapixel sensors and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle module. The main camera, presumably based on Sony’s recently introduced LYT-901 sensor, can support continuous optical zoom at multiple focal lengths. Such an implementation is considered more practical for everyday shooting compared to existing solutions.

The ultra-wide-angle camera is rumored to be built on Sony’s LYT-828 sensor, while the periscopic telephoto lens will be built on Samsung’s HPB sensor. This underscores the device’s focus on flagship-level mobile photography.

Another rumor is that it will be based on a Sony LYT-828 sensor and a Samsung HPB sensor.

The smartphone is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. It may be accompanied by a battery with a capacity of around 7,000 mAh. It is also reported to have an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner under the screen. The software backbone will be Android 16 with OriginOS 6 shell.

Launch date and global release

Vivo plans to position the X300 Ultra as the next flagship with a focus on mobile shooting. According to rumors, the device could be unveiled in China in March 2026.

It is separately noted that the global version of the smartphone, model number V2562, has already passed the EEC certification. This indicates Vivo’s plans to release the X300 Ultra outside of the Chinese market.
