Tecno has introduced the Phantom V Flip
By ForGeeks Tecno has unveiled the Phantom V Flip — its first foldable smartphone. It has a round exterior OLED screen with dual cameras and an LED flash in a ring around it, and a 6.9-inch foldable LTPO AMOLED display on the inside.

Phantom V Flip is powered by an eight-core Mediatek Dimensity 8050 chipset clocked at 3.0GHz. It was announced with 256GB of storage and 8GB of RAM, expandable by another 8GB thanks to the Extended Memory software feature.
The 22:9 aspect ratio foldable display supports a 120Hz refresh rate and achieves a brightness of 1,000 nits. The 1.32-inch external display offers multiple widgets, displays notifications, and can be used as a viewfinder for taking selfies on higher-performance cameras. The main camera is 64 MP, 1/1.73″ sensor, f/1.7 aperture lens and PDAF. The second camera is — 13MP ultra-wide-angle, also equipped with autofocus. When unfolded, the device is 171mm tall and — less than 7mm thick. Tecno has placed a 4,000 mAh battery inside — quite a capacious dual-cell solution for the class. The phone supports 45W wired charging using the included adapter, and Tecno claims it only takes 15 minutes to fill the battery halfway.

Tecno Phantom V Flip features a personal assistant called EllaGPT, which provides «intelligent features» and is the company’s answer to Google, Siri, Bixby or Celia.
Tecno is offering the phone in two color options — black and purple. The price at the time of the announcement was quoted at $605/€555. The price for European markets is €700, while in other regions, the phone can be purchased for the equivalent of $650.
