The new OnePlus 15 flagship model premiered. The manufacturer emphasized the integration of the most innovative technologies: from the display with a refresh rate of 165 Hz to the advanced Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor.
The smartphone features a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with 1.5K resolution and a refresh rate of up to 165Hz, encased in a body with extremely narrow bezels (just 1.15mm). According to DisplayMate tests, the display outperforms benchmarks, and the dedicated P3 chip delivers accurate color reproduction.
The night mode of the screen deserves special attention, guaranteeing a comfortable perception of information at minimum brightness. According to the manufacturer, the display demonstrates a record low flicker ratio (SVM < 0.12) and reduced blue light emission.
The smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, complemented by 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of onboard UFS 4.1 storage. Cooling is provided by a unique Glacier Cooling system that utilizes an ultra-thin steel spacer and aerogel used in the space industry — similar material is used in rocket engines. OnePlus has also introduced the G2 chip, which reduces network latency by about 66 percent and speeds up downloading updates and videos. And Touch Display Sync technology synchronizes the sensor and display, improving touch accuracy and responsiveness.
There are three 50-megapixel cameras on the back: a wide-angle camera with a Sony sensor and f/1.8 aperture, an ultra-wide-angle camera with a 116° viewing angle, and a telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom. 8K video recording is supported. The front camera has a resolution of 32MP and allows you to shoot videos in 4K. It’s important to note that OnePlus has ended its partnership with Hasselblad and now uses OPPO algorithms for image processing.
A 7300mAh battery with 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging support is responsible for battery life. Other features include IP69K protection, a powerful vibration motor, stereo speakers, and a USB 3.2 Gen 1 port.
In China, the OnePlus 15 is already available for pre-order with prices starting at 3,999 yuan (about $560 or Rmb45,350) for the version with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The global launch is scheduled for mid-November.
