SEGA has announced Sonic Rumble

The Sonic games and movies don’t always please critics, but they make money, so SEGA keeps working on them. Insider Midori recently predicted the announcement of a new game in the series, and the company hasn’t disappointed.

Earlier this week, Midori said SEGA would soon announce Sonic Rumble, a Fall Guys-style mobile game. Her speculation proved correct: the 32-person multiplayer game was unveiled last night. Development is being handled by the Division 4 and Rovio (Angry Birds) teams, and the game will be released on iOS and Android, possibly on other platforms as well.

Sonic Rumble will be released on iOS and Android.

The Insider also reported that SEGA plans to have Rumble have crossovers with other popular series, such as Persona. It’s just about bringing unique customization items to the game.

The Sonic Rumble domain was registered back on April 18. The game has already been tested by players from all over the world, but from May 24 to May 26 the developers will be holding a ZBT, which you can apply for here.
