Samsung has released One UI 7.0 Beta for the Galaxy A55

Samsung has started rolling out a test version of the One UI 7.0 firmware for the Galaxy A55 smartphone. The update is based on Android 15 and is available in South Korea, which is where the beta testing program for this model started. It’s the first mid-range smartphone from the company to get access to the new version of the interface.

From today, Galaxy A55 owners in South Korea can officially sign up for the One UI 7.0 testing program. To access the update, users need to install the Samsung Members app, sign in with their current Samsung account and click on the program banner on the homepage.
After registering, the device will be given the option to download the update via Settings → Software Update → Download and Install. The updated firmware includes a redesigned user interface and a host of new features.

Although the program is currently only available in Samsung’s home market, the geography is expected to expand in the coming days with India, the UK and the US being the likely next regions. The company has previously said that it plans to expand the list of devices participating in Android 15 testing.
The Galaxy A55 is the first mid-range device to get the chance to experience One UI 7.0 before the official release. This underscores Samsung’s intention to more actively include not only flagships, but also more affordable models in the updates.
