And now, rumors about Samsung’s next Galaxy Z Fold6 phone have started to emerge.

According to insider ICE UNIVERSE, it’s worth lowering expectations for the Z Fold6’s main camera. Apparently, the company will use a 50MP GN3 sensor (1/1.56″, 1.0µm) for the main camera. The same sensor is used in the Z Fold5 and Z Fold4. In order to use Sony’s other 12MP IMX555 main camera, you’ll have to go back to the Z Fold3.

If this is indeed true, it’s certainly a bit of a bummer, but according to other credible reports from THE ELEC publication, Samsung may be looking to reduce the thickness of the Z Fold6 and start closing the growing thickness gap between its products and those of its competitors. According to this report, the company may be reverse-engineering the foldable Huawei Mate X5 to see how the Chinese company achieved a thinner profile and a larger internal battery.

For comparison, the Z Fold5 measures 6.1mm unfolded and 13.4mm folded, while the Mate X5 — 5.3mm unfolded and 11.1mm folded. The Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 is noticeably thinner — 5.3 mm unfolded and 10.9 mm folded. The new OnePlus Open is 5.8mm thick when unfolded and 11.7mm when folded.
