Samsung Galaxy S25 FE may get a MediaTek chip instead of Exynos

Samsung only unveiled the Galaxy S24 FE in the fall, but rumors about its successor, the S25 FE, are already starting to gain traction. The first leaks claimed that the new product would once again get the proprietary Exynos 2400e chip like its predecessor, which caused disappointment among some users.
According to the new information, Samsung may change course and use a higher-performance MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chip. However, this option is only seen as a backup – the company still plans to use the Exynos 2400e first. Switching to MediaTek would only happen if there are problems with Exynos chip production.

Preliminary reports suggest that the Galaxy S25 FE won’t get any significant updates over the current model. If the differences turn out to be minimal, the switch to a more powerful MediaTek chipset could be a key factor in the device’s sales.
The Galaxy S25 FE is expected to be the only one to get a significant upgrade over the current model.
An official announcement is still expected soon, so more details are sure to emerge in the coming months.
