Samsung Galaxy A06 officially unveiled in Brazil and India: features and price

The new product gets the signature ‘Key Island’ design, which first appeared in Samsung’s recently launched mid-budget models. Otherwise, the Galaxy A06 offers minimal improvements over its predecessor.

Galaxy A06 retains the Galaxy A05’s design, but with the addition of ‘Key Island’, a raised panel on the right side where the power and volume buttons are located. The smartphone also features a capacitive fingerprint scanner embedded in the power button, and supports Face Unlock and Samsung Knox for enhanced security.

The display of the device remains the same – it’s a 6.7-inch PLS LCD screen with HD+ resolution and Infinity U cutout. The body and bezel of the phone are made of plastic and the smartphone is available in three colors: black, gold and light blue.
Cameras and performance of the Galaxy A06
Galaxy A06 features an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, while the rear panel houses a 50-megapixel main camera, 2-megapixel depth sensor and LED flash. The smartphone supports 1080p video recording at 60fps.
The device is powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and storage options of 64GB or 128GB, which can be expanded via a dedicated microSD card slot. The Galaxy A06 runs on Android 14 with One UI 6.1 shell and will receive two major Android OS updates and two years of additional security patches.

The smartphone supports GPS, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, USB 2.0 Type-C and has a 3.5mm headphone jack. The Galaxy A06 has a 5,000mAh battery and supports 25W fast charging.

Prices of Galaxy A06 in Brazil and India
In Brazil, the Galaxy A06 with 128GB of storage costs R$899. In India, the 64GB storage model is priced at INR 9,999 (about $120) and the 128GB model is priced at INR 11,499 (about $137). The device is available for purchase on Samsung’s official website in both countries.
