Redmi Note 12R may become the first smartphone with Snapdragon 4 Gen 2
By ForGeeks Xiaomi released the Redmi Note 12R Pro smartphone in April. It is priced at $250 and is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 processor. Today, China Telecom’s website has information about «s little brother» of this smartphone. It is called the Redmi Note 12R and, oddly enough, will get a more top-end chipset.
The Redmi Note 12R will be available with a more top-of-the-line chipset.
The report indicates that the Redmi Note 12R will get the SM4450 chip. This model number is rumored to belong to the yet unreleased Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chip. Also the smartphone will get 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal memory, expandable with microSD.
The smartphone will go on sale on June 30, according to China Telecom, making it the first device to use Snapdragon 4 Gen 2.
