Poco M8: launch date and specifications revealed

Poco will officially unveil the Poco M8 smartphone on January 8 and has already revealed some of its specs in advance.
The device will get a 6.77-inch OLED display with 3D curved glass, 1080 × 2392 pixel resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 3200 nits. Poco claims it’s the most rugged 3D curved screen smartphone in its segment.
Poco M8 is MIL-STD-810H certified, which means it is resistant to extreme temperatures, dust, shock, and other adverse conditions of everyday use. The smartphone is also IP66 dust and water resistant and supports Wet Touch 2.0 technology for correct screen operation with wet hands. The device has been drop tested from up to 1.7 meters.
The body thickness is just 7.35mm, making the Poco M8 the brand’s thinnest smartphone to date. The device weighs — 178 grams, making it also considered the thinnest and lightest in its class.
Although Poco hasn’t officially revealed all the specs yet, recent retailer listings have revealed that the smartphone will be powered by a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor. The cameras include a 50MP main module, an additional 2MP depth sensor and a 20MP front camera. A 5,520 mAh battery with 45W fast wired charging support is responsible for the battery life.
