Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition could launch globally as Leica Leitzphone powered by Xiaomi
Signs are emerging that Xiaomi is gearing up to release a new special edition smartphone on the global stage. The flagship, known in China as the Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition, might make its international debut under the name Leica Leitzphone powered by Xiaomi, while retaining its signature innovative zoom controls.
To recap, Xiaomi unveiled the Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition alongside the standard Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra models. The device carries the model number 25128PNA1C and stands out with its unconventional camera zoom control system.
Recent leaks have mostly focused on the global launch of the Xiaomi 17 and 17 Ultra. According to multiple sources, their pricing is expected to align with that of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra and its lower-end sibling. Details on the Leica Edition’s price remain scarce, but the global version has already surfaced on Geekbench, listed under model number 25128PNA1G.

Regardless of its final branding, the device’s appearance on Geekbench signals that the global variant is actively undergoing testing ahead of its official launch.
It’s still unclear whether the Leica Leitzphone will be unveiled alongside the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra on February 28. Until official word drops, Xiaomi suggests referring to existing materials on the Leica Edition, which thoroughly detail the differences from the standard Xiaomi 17 Ultra.
