Introduced the Poco F5 series of smartphones

Yesterday Xiaomi held a global launch of two new smartphones: Poco F5 and Poco F5 Pro. We offer a closer look at the characteristics of both devices.

Poco F5 Pro features a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with 3200×1440 pixels resolution, 120Hz, 1400 nits maximum brightness and touch sampling rate up to 480Hz.

The F5 Pro has a triple camera on the back – a 64 MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture and 1.4 µm pixels, an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture, and a 2 MP macro camera with an f/2.4 aperture. The selfie camera shoots at 16 MP.

The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, which works in conjunction with 8/12GB of RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, became the hardware base of the smartphone. A 5,160mAh battery with 67W of wired charging and 30W of wireless charging is responsible for the smartphone’s battery life.

It is also worth highlighting water and dust protection to IP53 standard, stereo speakers, IR blaster and Android 13 with MIUI 14 on top. Prices start at $449.

The basic Poco F5 has the same 6.67-inch screen, but the resolution in this version is lowered to 2400×1080 pixels. The screen refresh rate is 120 Hz and the peak brightness is 1000 nits.

The cameras in this smartphone are the same as the Pro version. At the heart of the smartphone is the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chip, and the battery of 5000 mAh with 67W fast charging is responsible for its battery life.
