Oppo Find X8 Ultra: ultra-fast charging and powerful battery officially confirmed

Oppo Find product manager Zhou Yibao confirmed that the X8 Ultra will be the only “ultra”-flagship with a fully flat screen. Now, he’s also revealed the model’s impressive charging capabilities and enhanced durability.

Oppo Find X8 Ultra: official charging details
The Oppo Find X8 Ultra and its satellite-enabled version were recently spotted in China’s 3C certification database with a 100W adapter. Now, Zhou Yibao has confirmed that the smartphone does indeed support 100W fast charging. That’s a significant improvement over last year’s Find X7 Ultra, which offered 80-watt wired charging.
Oppo says the Find X8 Ultra will be able to charge from 0 to 100 percent in just 35 minutes. The smartphone will also support 80-watt wireless charging, which puts it on par with the market’s top-end solutions. Like the junior models in the series – Find X8 and X8 Pro – the Ultra version will be dust and water resistant with IP68/69 rating.
Battery capacity and advanced tactile feedback
Besides the official details from Oppo, a well-known Digital Chat Station insider has shared additional details about the Find X8 Ultra. According to his information, the smartphone will be equipped with a battery capacity of about 6000 mAh. The device will be the only 2024 “ultra” flagship with a dual-cell battery.
Despite the large capacity, the X8 Ultra will remain less than 9mm thick, making it one of the thinnest smartphones with a similar battery. Oppo will also update the 0916 X-axis vibration motor, improving the haptic feedback for an even more realistic UI experience.
