Oppo Find X8 Ultra: powerful charging, IP69 protection and other details
By ForGeeks Oppo is preparing to unveil the Find X8 Ultra in April in China. Product manager Zhou Yibao has already started revealing key features of the new flagship, including charging, battery and case protection
One of the main features of the Find X8 Ultra will be a flat display, making it the only “Ultra” smartphone without a curved screen among its competitors. Oppo has even released a teaser image showing off its front panel.
100W charging and high-capacity battery
The Oppo Find X8 Ultra and its satellite version were recently spotted in China’s 3C-certification database with a 100W charger. Oppo has now officially confirmed that the device completely charges in 35 minutes. In comparison, last year’s Find X7 Ultra only supported 80W wired charging
The X8 Ultra will additionally get 80W wireless charging, making it one of the fastest smartphones in terms of charging speed.
When it comes to battery life, insider Digital Chat Station reported that the Find X8 Ultra will get a 6,000mAh battery with two-cell structure. Despite this volume, the smartphone will be less than 9mm thick.
The smartphone case will meet IP68/IP69 standards, providing dust and water protection, including water immersion and exposure to high temperatures
Another major improvement is the improved 0916 X-axis linear vibration motor, which will provide more accurate and realistic tactile feedback
Other devices at the April launch
Oppo is also expected to unveil the Find X8S, Find X8 Mini and the Oppo Pad 4 Pro tablet at the April presentation. However, there are rumored to be no international release of the Find X8 series, and the devices will remain exclusive to the Chinese market.
