Oppo Find X8 Ultra: powerful camera and new technologies

Oppo is gearing up to unveil a new flagship Find X8 Ultra, which is rumored to be released as early as next month. The main feature of the smartphone will be a unique four-sensor camera, as well as an additional sensor for improved color reproduction.

Four powerful sensors and a new spectral sensor
Information about the cameras was shared by Zhou Yibao, director of Oppo, who published photos of the sensors that will likely end up in the smartphone.
Location of the modules when viewed clockwise:
- 12 o’clock – 3x telephoto lens, probably with a Sony IMX906
- 3 hours – periscope with 6x optical zoom, based on Sony IMX882 50MP
- 6 hours – ultra-wide lens with the same Sony IMX882 50 MP sensor
- 9 hours – main camera with 1-inch Sony LYT-900 sensor (50 MP)
sensor.
Besides these sensors, the camera module will have a new spectral sensor (located on the bottom right). It should improve color reproduction in portrait shots, especially in low light.

Find X8 lineup: three new smartphones
Oppo, in addition to the Find X8 Ultra, is preparing two more models:
- Find X8 Next is the standard version
- Find X8S – compact and slim smartphone
There’s no confirmation yet on whether the devices will be released in the global market – perhaps they’ll remain exclusives for China. However, given the interest in Oppo’s top flagships, we can hope for an international release.
An international release is likely.
The Find X8 series of smartphones promises to be some of the most interesting devices of the year, especially given their advanced cameras and imaging technology.
