Oppo A98 5G: new smartphone with 5000 mAh battery and 40x camera zoom

Oppo unveiled its new A98 5G smartphone in Malaysia. The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 and features a 5,000mAh battery and 67W of charging power. The smartphone also has a large 6.72-inch IPS display with Full HD+ resolution and refresh rate up to 120 Hz. There is 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The operating system is Android 13 with ColorOS 13.

There’s an oval camera unit on the back of the phone that includes three sensors, including a 64MP main sensor and two additional 2MP sensors each. The camera supports 40x digital zoom, and the front camera has 32MP resolution.

The smartphone is 8.2mm thick with flat side edges and weighs 192g. The back cover is fingerprint and scratch resistant.

While Oppo has not yet disclosed the price of the A98 5G, e-commerce sites are asking 1,399 ringgit (24,500 rubles) for the device.
