OnePlus officially confirms the name of Ace 5

OnePlus has announced that the next model in the Ace series will be called the Ace 5, skipping the number 4 due to a Chinese superstition associated with the number. In addition to the Ace 5, a Pro version of the device, the Ace 5 Pro, will be introduced.

According to company spokesperson Li Jie, the Ace 5’s performance test results showed a significant edge over its competitor counterparts. This data, published on Chinese social network Weibo, emphasizes that the device is ready to set new standards in its category.

Global release and specifications
The OnePlus Ace 5 is expected to be available in the international market under the name OnePlus 13R. The device is expected to be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, while the Ace 5 Pro will get Snapdragon 8 Elite. Both smartphones could hit the market as early as December.

- Front camera at 16 MP;
- Battery capacity of more than 6000 mAh with support for 100-watt fast charging;
