The smartphone features a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, which nubia calls «the leading version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2», likely due to the higher clock speed of the Prime core (3.36GHz vs. 3.2GHz on the regular SD 8 Gen 2). The smartphone comes with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage and runs Redmagic OS 8 based on Android 13.

The Red Magic 8S Pro is built around a 6.8-inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, protected by Gorilla Glass 5 and boasting a resolution of 2480×1116. There’s also a fingerprint scanner below the screen for unlocking the phone without a passcode.
