Infinix engages Pininfarina to design the new flagship Note 60 Ultra
Infinix has revealed for the first time what its next major smartphone will be, confirming a shift to a new design philosophy. It’s officially confirmed that Italian studio Pininfarina, known for its sports and premium car designs, is working on the design of the new Infinix flagship device. The first smartphone created as part of the partnership will be called the Infinix Note 60 Ultra and will be designed by Pininfarina.
Infinix says the goal of the collaboration is — to enhance the performance of the brand’s premium lineup by leveraging Pininfarina’s expertise in aesthetics, engineering precision and lifestyle-oriented design. Specifications for the Note 60 Ultra have not yet been revealed, but the company promises to unveil the design philosophy and details of the device in the near future.
Infinix said the collaboration is aimed at improving the quality of the brand’s premium lineup by utilizing Pininfarina’s expertise in aesthetics, engineering precision and lifestyle-oriented design.
This isn’t Infinix’s first collaboration with automotive design representatives. The brand previously unveiled the Note 30 VIP Racing Edition and Note 40 series models, created in collaboration with BMW DesignWorks. These projects brought a motorsport aesthetic to smartphones and appear to be the basis for further design collaborations.
The Note 60 Ultra is expected to be the first device in the new visual direction and will help strengthen Infinix’s position in the premium segment.
